Thus reads the only remaining parchment from the book of Reshaieth – the history of the forgotten elves:
The roots of every culture lead back to a rich soil of their own distinct faith, telling both what has been and what will be. Yet each cultural mythopoetic story shares one common theme, that the world in which we live was created by their God or gods. Many then go on to tell that their people were given life in this new world, and that in this new creation, all was pristine, living in communion with their Creator. Our people do not share that history, that mythology, or that origin… What is clear is that the pristine state did not last forever. Whether it be because of a single Man eating a fruit, which his Lord had forbidden, or because of a Dwarven craftsmen using his skill of the forge to create the first weapon, our world descended into the grasp of evil…
Most believe that the wyrms, the servants of The Evil One, were already in the world, waiting for their time to seize power from the weak creation. Some say the wyrms were the source of temptation, that they told the Man the world was his, or told the Dwarf he had something to fear. With the world in the grasp of evil, the powerful serpents darkened the skies. Their legendary quarrels rent the world with fire until each serpent lord staked out its own domain. From their thrones and their corrupt thoughts were born all manner of evil beings. Armies of darkness marched against each other and the world was consumed by flame. Creation was in danger of being lost…
The infant races were destined to be the stewards of their home, but they were frail and the Enemy was full of hate and guile against both them and their Creator.
Reshaieth, the name that begins all names, loves his creation and planned it from before time. It is part of that plan that we were brought to this world. Our remnant had been ordained from before time to protect and prepare this world for inheritance. Thus, we were brought here, into the Age of Fire, to bring the power of Reshaieth’s glory against the Dragons, to wrest control from them, to heal the land from its torture…
The Blade wrought from the Dwarves folly was used for evil and brought the evil upon us, but the steel that had once spilled blood has now been redeemed. The war has just begun…
